Clean Energy for natives communities in Colombia.
Between December 2016 and December 2017, FREIMA and DESOLCON have joined forces to support the process of improving the quality of life and reducing the negative pressure on the natural environment inhabited by the indigenous communities of the department of Valle del Cauca in Colombia. .
An initiative financed with resources from the regional environmental authority and the Organization of Indigenous Authorities of Valle del Cauca. This initiative has benefited 147 indigenous families, settled in Non-Interconnected Zones to the national electricity grid (ZNI) with an index of unsatisfied basic needs close to 80%.
Finally, 14 rural schools and more than 800 people benefited from isolated photovoltaic solar systems from 270W to 1300W.
